GoodAgents charges a referral fee for connecting you to our users. The referral fee is only paid AFTER your deal is closed.

GoodAgents Referral Agreement


Introduction

GoodAgent.ca operates as a lead referral service through an online platform that connects buyers and sellers with realtors. We work collaboratively to match good people with skilled agents to facilitate successful transactions.

1. Representation and Compliance

As a realtor registered with us, you confirm that you are in good standing with the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO) and all required real estate jurisdictions and boards.

2. Definition of Referral

Referral, as defined by GoodAgents.ca, occurs when we connect a lead or client with you. Once this connection is established via our platform, the referral fee becomes due upon the successful completion of a deal made for that client. Some users may opt to use a nickname within our platform; however, the referral fee obligation remains binding regardless of any variations in their actual legal name. No upfront or additional fees are charged for unsuccessful relationships or transactions.

3. Liability and Indemnity

We bear no responsibility for any matters arising between you and your clients. You agree to save, indemnify, and hold GoodAgents.ca harmless from any claims, injuries, damages, liabilities, or suits resulting from acts, errors, or omissions on your part as stipulated in this Agreement.

4. Service Standards

You are expected to deliver high-quality services to clients at all times, with responsiveness being of paramount importance. We reserve the right to deactivate your account and/or assign the lead to another realtor at our discretion.

5. Client Relationship Management

You are required to release any clients referred by GoodAgents.ca from representation contracts should they express dissatisfaction with your service. You must provide regular updates on client status as requested and furnish all signed documents within two days of signing.

6. Reporting Requirements

Upon firm confirmation of an Agreement of Purchase & Sale, you must notify us via email at hello@goodagents.ca and provide an updated MLS information sheet.

7. Fee Structure

Our referral is established when a connection is made between you and a user through efforts by GoodAgents.ca, which may include but are not limited to, emails, texts, and calls.

By signing this agreement and/or registering on our platform, you agree to pay a referral fee of 20% of your commission plus HST on deals closed with connected users who become your customers or clients. This fee is payable within 10 days of your brokerage being paid and is to be remitted to Re/Max Realtron Realty Inc.

8. Commission Calculation

Your commission is calculated based on the sale price before any rebates, discounts, or incentives to the client. For example, if you assist a buyer in purchasing a property for $800,000 with a commission of 2.5% plus HST, the referral fee would be 20% of 2.5%, equating to 0.5% plus HST of the purchase price.

9. Duration of Referral Agreement

Referrals from GoodAgents.ca do not expire. As long as you continue to work with clients referred by us, the referral fee is applicable to all transactions.

10. Termination and Liability

By signing this Agreement, you confirm that you are authorized to sign on behalf of your brokerage. Either party may terminate this agreement with written notice; however, any connections made before termination shall remain subject to the terms of this Agreement even after its termination.

In the event that your brokerage fails to remit the referral fee as agreed, you shall be personally liable for payment.

Client status update

GoodAgents will aso require you to provide client status updates each month. Your account will be suspended if you fail to report by the deadline and will not be reinstated until you complete your report.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of GoodAgents.ca after the posting of modified terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.


9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to GoodAgents.ca at any time for any reason without prior notice. Upon termination, your rights to use our website and services will cease immediately.
